GrooveWalrus is a music player that can play songs from GrooveShark and Last.fm. It allows you to perform searches on those online portals based on the name of a song, artist or album. It then displays a list with the found songs that you can add to your playlist. Double-clicking on any item on the playlist will start its playback. You can save the playlist at any time, to use it in the future.
The program offers a "Save Song" feature, which will not save the song to your disk (this would be illegal), but offer you a direct access to play that song using GrooveWalrus. The "Album" tab will show you the list of songs included in the album where the currently playing song is included, along with its cover image. "Biography" will retrieve the artist's biography from the Internet and show it to you, with the album cover as a heading. In the playlist, you can mark songs as favorites. You can later see the favorites list, and rate them. The "Collection" tab will show you all the direct links you have saved with the "Save Song" option. The program also allows you to manage your Last.fm account, and send your playlists via RSS. |
